I have a warm, down to earth approach which enables us to work together,helping you to build a sense of self and the resilience to grow within yourself. I do this by offering a compassionate, non-judgemental environment which allows you room and space to explore, help and you understand who you are. I work to identify healthier ways of managing emotions and stress which aids you to move past the difficulties in your life. I specialise in anxiety, childhood trauma, anger, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and have a particular passion for working with those enable them to promote personal growth and a more balanced life.
I work instinctively with each person who seeks my help. I am deeply passionate about finding compassion and kindness for ourselves, arguably the hardest thing of all, however I believe they are the cornerstone to life and wellness. I have a firm belief that all people have inherent worth and deserve to be loved, have healthy relationships and connections.
My own personal journey through childhood, family divorce, marriage and motherhood along with PTSD and PND initiated my desire to work in the counselling world. By focusing on healing my own trauma has enabled me to break free of unhealthy behaviour patterns and belief systems to live an authentic happier life and gain acceptance of my life experiences.
My Treatment Approach is to incorporate different modes of therapy depending on what I feel my client needs at a particular time in their life, as one size does not fit all. Therefore I integrate the following types of Therapy:
